Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 8, 2026  ·  Effective immediately

Spark Twice is built on trust. You are sharing personal information (your values, your history, your hopes) with us. We take that seriously. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how it is protected.

1. Who We Are

Spark Twice is a curated matchmaking service operating across the United States at sparktwice.com. The service is operated by Spark Logic LLC, a United States limited liability company, which is the data controller responsible for your personal information. References to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to Spark Twice and its operator, Spark Logic LLC.

Mailing address: Spark Logic LLC, 539 W. Commerce St #7559, Dallas, TX 75208

For questions about this policy, email support@sparktwice.com or contact us.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

When you complete our compatibility application, we collect the information you submit, which may include:

Sensitive information. Some of the fields above may reveal information that is treated as "sensitive" under laws such as the California Privacy Rights Act — for example your religion or faith, your ethnicity or race, your sexual orientation or the gender you are seeking, details about your relationships, and information about your financial or emotional stability. You choose whether to share these details. We use them only to review your application and to identify compatible introductions, as described in section 3, and never to build advertising profiles or to sell you to anyone. Where the law gives you the right to limit our use of sensitive information, you can exercise it as described in section 7 and on our California Privacy page.

Facial verification (biometric data)

To confirm that you are a real person and to prevent duplicate or fraudulent accounts, we analyse the face in the photographs you upload using Amazon Rekognition, a service provided by Amazon Web Services. This analysis produces a numeric face template (a mathematical representation of facial geometry), which we compare against the templates of other applicants and members. This is a form of biometric information.

We use your face template only to verify you and to detect duplicate or fraudulent accounts. We never sell it, share it with other members or advertisers, or use it to identify you outside Spark Twice. Your photographs are stored in encrypted, private storage and your face template is stored within Amazon Rekognition.

Biometric retention and destruction schedule. We keep your face template only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above — that is, while your account is active, so that we can re-verify you and continue to prevent duplicate or fraudulent accounts. We permanently destroy your face template, and the photographs used to create it, within 30 days after you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, and in any event no later than three years after your last interaction with Spark Twice, whichever comes first. This is our complete written retention-and-destruction policy for biometric identifiers.

Your consent. By uploading a photograph you provide your informed consent to this facial verification and to the creation, storage, and use of your face template as described here. If you would prefer not to take part, please email support@sparktwice.com before applying — we cannot complete identity verification without it, but we will tell you what that means for your application.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect basic technical information including your browser type, device type, and pages visited. To understand how our site is used and improve the experience, we use PostHog, a privacy-focused product-analytics tool. This includes session replay, which records how visitors move through our pages (clicks, scrolling, and navigation). These recordings are privacy-masked in your browser before they are sent: all text you read or type, every form field, and all images and photos are automatically hidden, so we can see how a page is used without ever seeing your personal content.

Security and fraud signals. When you apply, we record the IP address you apply from and the approximate location (country, region, city) it resolves to, and we check whether the connection is coming through a VPN, proxy, or the Tor network, or from an IP address associated with known abuse. We use these signals only to protect the community from fraud and fake accounts and to compare the location you tell us against the one we detect.

How you found us. When you first arrive, we record basic marketing-attribution information — the referring website and any campaign tags (for example UTM parameters) in the link you followed — so we can understand which of our efforts bring people to Spark Twice.

Cookies and analytics. We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Some are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. We also use Google Analytics (part of Google Ads) to measure website traffic and how well our advertising performs; this sets analytics cookies (such as Google's _ga cookie) and shares limited, non-identifying usage data with Google as described in section 6. We do not sell your information, and we do not use these tools to build advertising profiles from your application answers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; strictly necessary cookies are required for the member area to work.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide for the following purposes only:

We do not use your information for advertising, data brokerage, or any purpose beyond the matchmaking service you have applied for.

4. Confidentiality of Your Profile

Your profile is never visible to other members. We share only what is necessary to facilitate a specific introduction, and only with your prior knowledge and consent. We will not share your full name, contact details, or social media information with any other member without your explicit approval.

Introductions are human-reviewed. We may use automated tools to surface potentially compatible members, but a real person on our team reviews every match before any introduction is made, and no introduction is sent automatically.

5. How We Store and Protect Your Information

Your application data is stored securely using Supabase, a SOC 2 Type II compliant cloud database platform. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to your information is restricted to authorised Spark Twice personnel only.

We retain your data for as long as your application is active or your membership is current. When you delete your account or request deletion, we permanently remove your personal data — including your photographs and your biometric face template (see the biometric retention schedule in section 2) — within 30 days, and in all cases within the 45-day period that applicable law allows. We may retain a minimal record where the law requires us to (for example, basic transaction records for tax and accounting).

6. Sharing With Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

We use the following service providers to operate our platform, each of whom processes data only on our behalf and under strict data processing agreements:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not use data brokers. Beyond Google Analytics for traffic and advertising measurement as described above, no other third parties have access to your data.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Deleting your account in the app. If you are a member, you can delete your account and your personal data at any time directly from the app: open Settings in your member dashboard and choose Delete my account. You do not need to email us to do this.

To exercise any of these rights another way, email support@sparktwice.com or contact us. We will respond within 10 business days.

8. Children's Privacy

Spark Twice is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that information has been submitted by a minor, we will delete it immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will notify active members by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
